1968 Cherokee Six 300 |
|
After flying with a club for the past two years, we decided to get back into a partnership, which would afford us more flexibility and availability. Pictured below is the 1968 Cherokee Six, which features a 300 hp., 6-cylinder, 540 cu-in. engine. Upgrades and options include a 3-bladed Hartzel Performance Propeller, Garmin GNS-430 GPS with map, BF Goodrich Stormscope, JPI-700 Graphic Engine Monitor, and recent leather interior. Total time on the airframe is a surprizingly low 3400 hours. Cruise speed with the fixed landing gear is about 132 kt, or 150 mph, on about 17 gallons/hour. Not too fast, but comfortable enough that we don't mind. The useful load is 1500+ pounds, leaving over 1000 pounds for the family and stuff with full fuel tanks. The pictures below were taken at our favorite destination, Rough River Lake Resort Park. UPDATE: Partner moved, other partners voted to SELL. Short-lived, but fun while it lasted!
