September 26 was the date of a Balloon Race from Louisville's Bowman Field, featuring over 100 balloons. We slept in a little, so we missed the early a.m. mass departure. We caught the end of the launch and followed the balloons to the end of the race.

The girls and I were the first waiting in a field off Dixie Highway when a balloon landed. Imagine the girls' surprise when we were offered a balloon ride!
